SBNS
REMOTE ADMINISTRATION PACKAGE
What
is it?
Your server or entire
network can be remotely administrated. With the installation of a small
secure client agent and a permanent Internet connection, SBNS will give
your machines a monthly checkup, and respond immediately to mission-critical
failures. Items to be checked during scheduled maintenance vary depending
on your network's exact needs, but generally include the following:
- Application of
Service Packs for your server OS, if necessary.
- Hot fixes applied
for the server OS, if necessary.
- Check of free disk
space on all server volumes.
- Examination of
Mail Server software, defrag of mail databases if necessary.
- Check of Antivirus
definition updates.
- Check of recent
Antivirus scans, ensure scans are correctly scheduled.
- Check of recent
server backups, ensure future backups are correctly scheduled.
- Check of server
and application logs for other potential problems.
- Verify licensing
Used vs. Purchased, alert if licensing is approaching limits.
Reports of the above
items will be delivered to the customer via e-mail. If problems are found,
repairs will be initiated (limit 2 hours). If repairs will take more than
2 hours (total checkup/repair) customer will be called and work continued
at normal phone support rates. If serious security or functionality problems
are found, customer will be called and visit scheduled. If server requires
non-scheduled maintanence remotely, work will be charged at phone-support
rates.

COSTS
Installation
Installation requires
a single on-site visit. Software is innocuous, and runs on all w.95/w.98/NT4/w.2k
machines. Machines to be managed require an addressable IP (or an addressable
router that can deliver incoming traffic via port number).
